Gala & Archives
Gala is Amphibious Achievement’s annual Spring celebration of students’ hard work throughout the semester and is also our largest fundraiser! Historically, Gala has fallen the Sunday after the last session, and we invite all students & family, mentors, alumni, local representatives, and sponsors to join us. Gala 2026 will be happening on May 10th, 5-8 pm at the MIT Media Lab. Our theme for this year is “Full STEAM ahead” and will feature games, celebration, raffles, awards, food, and lots of fun!
Gala 2025
Gala 2025 was hosted on Sunday, May 11th, in Walker Memorial. This year’s theme was “Reach for the Stars” and included guest speaker Shruthi Ravichandran, a recent Amphibz alum now pursuing her graduate degree at UC Berkeley. We had a great turnout, and thank you to all of our sponsors and community for participating :)
Gala 2024
Gala 2024 was hosted on Sunday, May 12th, in Walker Memorial. This year’s theme was “Under the Sea” and included guest speaker Vippy Yee, the Assistant Dean for Community-Based Programs at MIT. Thank you everyone for joining us, and although we will greatly miss our seniors, we can’t wait to see the great things you will accomplish in the future.

Gala 2023 was hosted on Sunday, May 14th, in Walker Memorial.
Gala 2022
Gala 2022 was hosted on Sunday, May 15th, in Walker Memorial. It included guest speaker Noam Angrist, the founder of Amphibious Achievement and Co-Founder of Youth Impact.
Gala 2021
Gala 2021 was hosted virtually on May 16th.
Gala 2020
Gala 2020 was unfortunately canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gala 2019
Gala 2019 was hosted on Sunday, April 20th, in E14. This year included guest speaker Kasha J. Ambroise, who had served on the board of directors at Community Rowing, Inc., and served as the Head Coach and Program Coordinator for Row Boston.
Gala 2018
Gala 2018 was hosted on Sunday, May 4th, in Walker Memorial. This year included guest speaker Kandice Sumner, who at the time was a humanities teacher at Fenway High School and had been a Boston Public School teacher for nine years.
Gala 2017
Gala 2017 was hosted on Sunday, May 7th, in the Microsoft NERD Center. This year included guest speaker and Amphibious Achievement alum, Emily Keeley, who served as the program’s Campus Relations Director for 8 semesters.
GaLa 2016
Gala 2016 was hosted on Sunday, April 30th, in the Samberg Conference Center, This year included guest speaker, Jaelle Sanon, a 2014 alumna of the program who was majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell at the time.
Gala 2015
The first ever Gala was hosted on Sunday, April 20th, in the Microsoft NERD Center!
